Celebrating 100 Years (2021-2022)

The official year-long anniversary celebration is coming to a close. It started in May 2021 to commemorate the date the park district was established, May 28, 1921.

Since then, we celebrated with a dedicated exhibit at the DuPage County Historical Museum, events, programs, and a special publication with Daily Herald.

Time Capsule

We will be seeking input for a 100th Anniversary Time Capsule during the Cream of Wheaton, Saturday, June 4 through Sunday, June 5 in Memorial Park at the Wheaton Park District activity booths. The community will be able to provide suggestions for the temporary time capsule that we will review, and make final decisions on the items that should go into the final time capsule that will be buried in Memorial Park later this summer.

Feedback and photos may also be submitted via an online survey.

If you have any questions or ideas, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].
