As our nation marks this historic milestone\, this meaningful tradition provides a special opportunity to reflect on the courage\, sacrifice\, and service that have shaped America for two and a half centuries. \nDuring this special five-day display\, 2\,000 American flags stand in perfectly aligned rows\, creating a breathtaking tribute to soldiers\, veterans\, first responders\, and personal heroes. Each flag is dedicated to an individual and represents stories of courage\, sacrifice\, and service. Community members and volunteers work together to create and maintain the display with the utmost care and respect. \nVisitors are encouraged to stroll through the Field of Honor and experience the moving atmosphere of unity and gratitude. A native of Wheaton and long-time resident\, Trevor spent a significant portion of his career dedicated to military service and national defense. After beginning his legal career with the Cook County Public Defender’s Office in 2003\, Trevor joined the United States Air Force JAG Corps in 2006\, where he prosecuted complex federal matters and deployed to Baghdad\, Iraq in support of efforts to rebuild the Iraqi judicial and law enforcement systems. He continues to serve as a Colonel and Chief Legal Advisor to the Wisconsin Air National Guard\, advising senior military leadership on operational\, fiscal\, personnel\, and regulatory matters. Trevor has also served in legal and leadership roles with the U.S. Department of Defense\, CME Group\, and Fermi National Laboratory.
