His mother has since passed\, but Jay continues to tour the country as an advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association\, and the song has gone on to raise over $100 million dollars to help fight the disease. He was also presented The Caregiver Award by The National Alzheimer’s Association.

DESCRIPTION:Wheaton Lions Club 2022 Hunger DriveSeptember 20-October 4The Wheaton Lions Club invites all our neighbors in the Wheaton and Carol Stream area to join us in the fight against local hunger. The Wheaton Lions Club is partnering with area businesses to collect non-perishable food beginning Tuesday\, September 20th. People’s Resource Center’s (PRC) will be the beneficiary of all donations. This project is part of the Wheaton Lions “Focus on Hunger”\, one of the six Lions’ primary “Pillars of Service” to serve our local communities. \nSince 1975\, People’s Resource Center (PRC) has been a steady resource to respond to hunger and poverty in DuPage County. In 2021 PRC distributed almost 40\,000 shopping carts full of food to DuPage families. Food insecurity continues to be a challenge for many local families.\nThe current list of items in greatest demand includes: \n\nCanned meat (tuna and chicken)\nCanned food (vegetables\, soup\, pork and beans\, legumes/beans\, spaghetti sauce\, fruit)\nRice and Pasta\nPersonal care items (shampoo\, body wash toothpaste\, toothbrushes\, deodorant\, bar soap\, liquid hand soap)\nDiapers*\n\nNOTE: Perishable food and products past their expiration date cannot be accepted. \n*PRC has more buying power in bulk lots. Cash gifts will be used by PRC to purchase diapers and household cleaning supplies as their inventory requires. \nPlease consider donating to the Wheaton LIONS Charities to provide PRC with diapers and cleaning supplies for distribution through the PRC Food Pantry. \nLook for the Lions Food Drive donation boxes at Wheaton Park District (4 locations): \nCommunity Center\n1777 S.
