Virtual Programming

Time to create some masterpieces! In this step-by-step guided painting class, participants will use creativity to make their own masterpieces from examples provided by the instructor. Participants will be sent a video link to each week’s lesson on Monday morning and have the entire week to complete the lesson as many times as they would like to. Fee includes five large canvases, paintbrushes, and 10 bottles of paint that will be available for pick-up. (CH)

All new students should register for the beginner class. All returning Weber dancers should register for the advanced class. The time/day for the advanced class will be determined based on the individual dancer level. Please contact Weber Irish Dancers for day and time prior to registering for the advanced class. Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Wheaton Park District. We’re curious what memories you have of the District. Do you have stories from your older siblings, parents, or grandparents? Join Museum staff for a brief overview of the history and then add to the timeline with your own stories! Registration is required to receive Zoom link.

Log on to Zoom to hear the Curator’s favorite stories from Healing DuPage during this last glimpse before the exhibit closes in early May. Discover the colorful history of medicine in DuPage County by looking at authentic medical tools, medicine and supplies from the Museum’s vast collection.

Anyone with some piano experience reading music and understanding chords is welcome to join this Recreational Music Making piano class. This online class will be held via Zoom meetings in the comfort and safety of your own home. Brush up your piano skills and focus on relaxing and having fun while we explore popular songs chosen by the group. Zoom account (free app) and at home piano/keyboard are required. (MW)

Have you ever wanted to learn a foreign language, but never had the opportunity? Now is the time! Stay connected and learn Spanish from the safety and comfort of your own home via the interactive Zoom platform! In this class, you will learn conversational Spanish that you can immediately begin using. The class will be tailored to the needs of the students enrolled. Taught live by a Language in Action, Inc. instructor. Zoom login information will be emailed to the participants before the first class. (MW)

Being that it is New Year’s Resolution time, now is a great time to do some de-cluttering and organizing in your home and office! In this program, you will learn the benefits of organizing your home and home office. You will also learn step-by-step principles, tips and guidelines for tackling an organizing project, covering how to get started, how to sort, how to make decisions on what to let go of, and how to define a place for everything. Master how to maintain your household organization over time. Plus, you’ll see some inspiring before and after photos. This program is taught by Barbara Tischler, owner of The Clutter Coach, an organizing service for home and office, and a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals. Have you lost a partner to death or divorce? Are you over 50? Are you looking for support in finding a path forward? Join our introductory Women in Life Transition virtual session: “Lifting the Fog of Transition”. During this 75-minute interactive session, you will receive information, tools, and resources on how you can begin to reimagine your path forward.

Let’s Zoom together in this fun class with Miss Tena! Synchronous Zoom classes each week with Miss Tena and our friends. Weekly material pick-up for crafts and supplies to follow along at home. (JM)

This class is a great supplement to middle school or junior high Spanish classes or can be taken by students not currently enrolled in a school Spanish class. Students will learn Spanish grammar and communication skills that provide a strong foundation for high school Spanish. Classes are taught live by a Language in Action, Inc instructor. This class is a great supplement to high school Spanish classes or can be taken by students not enrolled in a high school Spanish class. High school students will cover basic grammar points and vocabulary and practice conversational skills. Classes taught live by a Language in Action, Inc instructor. Enter into the magical and exciting world of chess with Chess Wizards Online! You will participate in epic chess games, fun and interactive lessons, tournaments, team matches, trivia and more! Our specialized classes are a blast for everyone kindergarten through fifth grade. Whether you have been playing chess for your entire life and want to improve, are brand new to the game, or you just want to have a fun experience with your friends, Chess Wizards is the place for you!
