Summer Saturday: Garden Party

Saturday, May 16 | 10A-12P

Sensory Garden Playground | 2751 International Drive, Lisle

Come by the Sensory Garden Playground for all-inclusive play!

Start off your summer with some fun and join us on Saturday, May 16th for a whimsical Garden Party held at the Sensory Garden Playground. The Garden Party will be a celebration of the Sensory Garden Playground’s partner, the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA), as they celebrate their 50th anniversary!

The playground will be in full bloom, with our fragrance garden freshly planted. Playground visitors can join us in crafting and drawing their own unique flower, which will be combined with everyone else’s on an anniversary poster for WDSRA! Kids can enjoy a flower scavenger hunt, where each flower they find comes with a fun fact about WDSRA and the amazing work they provide. Other activities to be announced!

Summer Saturdays are held from 10A to noon at the playground. The event is free, but registration is encouraged, and there is a $5 suggested donation per family. Water bottles from Culligan will be available at the playground. In the event of inclement weather, the Summer Saturday may be cancelled.

Going to a Summer Saturday | Social Story™

The Wheaton Park District understands that visiting a new place or engaging in public activities can sometimes be challenging for individuals with different needs. That’s why we offer Social Stories™ to help visitors feel comfortable and confident.
