Fun Run in Color

Saturday, April 9, 2022

More information about the 2022 race …coming soon!

The Fun Run in Color is presented by the Wheaton Park District and the Rotary Club of Wheaton AM.

This is no old-fashioned run. This is the Fun Run in Color.

Here’s how it works: You show up in your brightest white shirts, shorts, and shoes and we shower you along the route with vibrant color made from safe, food-grade, biodegradable cornstarch. By the time you cross the finish line, you’ll be a brilliant color palette of warm and cool hues. With wave starts, four color stations, and a final color toss at the after-party, you’re guaranteed to go home wearing colors you’ve never worn before. Have no fear, these colors are non-toxic and easily come off in the wash.

Color Party
The Fun Run in Color will host an after-race color party following the race. Be sure to stick around for DJ entertainment, giveaways, and the final color throw!

Teams must sign up and pay together at the time of registration. Additional runners can be added to the team once the minimum four (4) person team count is met. Teams must consist of four or more people. For more information, please contact the race director, Amy Seklecki at 630.510.4989 or aseklecki@wheatonparks.org.

The color is food-grade quality cornstarch that is biodegradable, non-toxic, and 100% safe. Volunteers will be located at color stations with bulk buckets of color. Each color station will feature a new color. As runners pass, the volunteers will toss the color. If you are pregnant, or experience asthma, consulting your doctor before running is strongly encouraged. Some people will wear a bandana over their face to inhibit any additional dust in their face. There are paths that allow you to avoid color if you wish.
