Native Illinois Plant Sale
Saturday, April 29 | 8:30-11A | City of Wheaton Public Works Yard
The City of Wheaton, Wheaton Environmental Improvement Commission, and the Wheaton Park District encourages residents to plant native plants in future landscape projects. Native plants are adapted to the soils and climate of our area. These plant species provide habitat for a wide variety of native wildlife species, and at the same time provide an attractive, low maintenance landscape. Native plants are beneficial because they do not require irrigation or fertilizer, are resistant to drought and insects, will not harm or degrade native ecosystems, and are beautiful and interesting. Cash will NOT be accepted. Payment must be made by check or credit card.
