Flag Display

November 9-12 | Sunrise to Dusk | Memorial Park (225 Karlskoga Ave.)

To honor our veterans, flags will be installed around the walkways at Memorial Park as well as the six Service Branch flags representing the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force.

Hometown Heroes of the Independent 745th

DuPage County Historical Museum Auditorium (102 E. Wesley St.)

Celebrate Veterans Day with U.S. Army Armor Officer (retired) Steve Fixler as he shares the history of the 745th independent tank battalion that supported the First Infantry Division during World War II. Fixler, a volunteer at the First Division Museum at Cantigny Park, will discuss and honor DuPage and Northern Illinois soldiers from the 745th. Additionally, attendees will be able to get an up-close look at a WWII tanker uniform as well as photographs and maps from the time. Walk-ins welcome.
