WHEATON, IL – The Wheaton Park District will host its annual Halloween Happening on Friday, October 9, from 5:30–7:30pm at the Ray Morrill Community Center, 1777 S. Blanchard St., Wheaton.

The all-ages community event will feature carnival games, a bounce house, touch-a-truck, airbrush tattoos, sensory tables, food trucks and a life-size Candyland Trail. Costumes are encouraged, and some activities require a fee.

Guests can participate in individual activities or purchase a Fun Pass, which includes unlimited play for most games, two bounce house vouchers, one airbrush tattoo voucher, one Candyland Trail voucher and unlimited access to atrium activities.

“Halloween Happening has been a Wheaton Park District staple for over 35 years,” said Jamie Martinson, Superintendent of Recreation Programs. “It’s an event the Recreation Department looks forward to hosting each year- seeing families enjoy the variety of activities, the adorable costumes our youngest residents arrive in and the memories we help create is why we love these community events.”

Fun Passes purchased before October 8 are $25 for residents and $30 for nonresidents. A VIP Fun Pass is also available for $35 for residents and $40 for nonresidents and includes the same activities with early admission beginning at 5pm.

Food and concessions will be available for purchase throughout the event.

To help visitors prepare for the event, the Wheaton Park District also offers a Social Story™ with information about what guests can expect during Halloween Happening.
