ARROWHEAD GOLF CLUB OFFERS WINES FROM AROUND THE WORLD, PRIZES, AND LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 9, 2017

Wheaton, Ill.—Wines from around the world, live entertainment, and winning prizes at lunch go together like skis and snow.

At Arrowhead Golf Club (26W151 Butterfield Rd., Wheaton, Ill.) this winter, guests can experience all five, said Director of Restaurant and Banquet Operations Brian Whitkanack.

Now through March 17, 11A-4P daily, every lunchtime diner will receive an entry to win one of six Lucky Lunch Box packages, all valued at up to $250. Winners will be drawn March 31.

Each package follows a theme, like the Minnie Mouse Getaway, which includes an overnight stay at the Hilton Lisle/Naperville and a couples massage at Zano Salons, or the Elvis Presley Arrowhead Golf Package, which provides a foursome of golf plus carts.

Whitkanack’s favorite package is the Beatles Craft Beer Basket, complete with 24 craft beers, two tickets to Wheaton Brew Fest 2017—a local outdoor craft beer tasting event hosted annually by the Wheaton Park District—and two Wheaton Brew Fest pint glasses.

With the Around the World Wine Tasting on February 14, 7-9:30P, it’s easy to treat a Valentine to some vino. Held in Arrowhead’s elegant third-story ballroom, guests will taste “a variety of wines from around the world,” sample passed hors d’oeuvres, win giveaways, and listen to the best of Motown from the Downtown Charlie Brown Blues Band. Must be 21 or older to attend.

Admission is $65 per person or $120 per couple at arrowheadgolfclub.org.

Whitkanack has also scheduled live entertainment the first Friday evening of each month through March. Arrowhead Restaurant & Bar will host The Acoustaholics on January 6, The Niche on February 3, and The Messengers on March 3. All performances start at 8:30P.

Outside the clubhouse, cross-country skiers can travel groomed trails across the 27-hole course’s slopes Monday through Friday, 9A-dusk and Saturday and Sunday, 8A-dusk. No trail fee required; rental equipment does require a fee. Snowshoes are prohibited.

At least three inches of snow are required for cross-country skiing. Guests can check the status of the trails at wheatonparkdistrict.com/status-updates.
