I will be going to Lincoln Marsh Natural Area in Wheaton, IL.

Lincoln Marsh is outside. I will need to wear clothes that protect me from the sun, bugs and weather.

I will need to wear my walking shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen and/or bug spray. I am also going to bring a water bottle.

At the Lincoln Marsh, there is a shelter with picnic tables, a port-a-potty and a sign with information.

I can look at a trail map that is posted on a sign at the trailheads.

I will walk and stay by my family so I stay safe.

I can choose which trails to walk on. There are woodchip and gravel trails.

There are floating boardwalks in the wetland I can walk on too. To stay safe, I need to stay on the boardwalk.

On the trails, I will see different trees, grasses, flowers and a wetland.

I may see birds, turtles, frogs or other wildlife such as squirrels or deer.

Knowing what to expect before going to Lincoln Marsh will make my visit a fun and easy outdoor adventure!
