Weather & Status Updates

The Wheaton Park District is committed to keeping our community informed and safe through reliable, up-to-date communication tools.

We have expanded our safety measures by integrating Perry Weather, a lightning detection and weather monitoring service that helps us make informed, proactive decisions to protect guests and staff. Live conditions and countdown timers can be viewed below, or where site-specific updates are displayed.

In addition, we have partnered with Statusfy, the modern and fully accessible evolution of our previous provider, RainoutLine, to deliver timely status updates on facility and event conditions, including cancellations, closures, and other important information.

Together, these two platforms allow the Wheaton Park District to provide a safer, well-informed experience for everyone in our community.

How does Perry Weather work?
The Perry Weather outdoor warning system is a completely wireless, cloud-based emergency alert and lightning warning system that is constantly operational and integrated with the most reliable lightning detection network to provide weather risk monitoring and warning. This proactive investment reflects our continued commitment to keeping our parks and programs safe.

System operates daily March 1–November 30 from the hours of 7A-10P.
