Wheaton Park District wins award for philanthropic support

Wheaton, Ill. – Four members of the Wheaton Park District accepted the Lehman award for Philanthropic Support of Parks and Programs award at the inaugural banquet on November 20, presented by the National Association of Park Foundations.

The award honors the district’s three foundations – the Cosley Foundation, the DuPage County Historical Museum Foundation and the Play For All Playground and Garden Foundation – as well as their internal Employee Relief Fund.

“The Wheaton Park District is proud of its partnerships with its philanthropic foundations,” said Marketing and Development Coordinator Carey Moreland. “The foundations help make possible the important missions of preserving local history, inspiring a love of nature and a passion for conservation and making inclusive, accessible play possible. We are excited to continue growing our partner foundations and helping them to continue to realize their missions.”
