WHEATON PARK DISTRICT’S “SNAPSHOTS OF AMERICA” – TAKE #2!
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS RESCHEDULED TO LABOR DAY WEEKEND
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
• Sunday, September 2: Picnicking, Family Fun and Fireworks, Beginning at 5pm in Wheaton’s Graf Park
• Monday, September 3 (Labor Day) – Parade Steps Off at 9am
Due to storm damage and power outages, Wheaton’s fireworks and parade were not held on July 3rd and 4th this year. Independence Day celebrations have been rescheduled to Labor Day Weekend.
Sunday, September 2, Graf Park will open at 5:00pm for picnicking and family fun. The evening concludes with a traditional fireworks display beginning just after sunset. Graf Park is located adjacent to the DuPage County Fairgrounds at 1701 Manchester Road in Wheaton.
Monday, September 3rd, (Labor Day,) Wheaton’s Independence Day Parade will step off at 9:00am from Main Street and Hawthorne. For information about participating in the parade, call Sherry Krajelis at 630-510-5051 or send an email to [email protected].
