#ParkPostcards
Starting June 14, 2016, we posted #ParkPostcards every Tuesday. Each week, we transformed a photo of one park into a #ParkPostcard and posted it across our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram platforms, accompanied by text designed to evoke memories and explore the park’s amenities, from natural features to playgrounds, programs, and history. We also considered current events when selecting the week’s park.
For example, during the week of September 11, our posts highlighted Firefighters’ Park, dedicated September 11, 2002. We considered our own special events for relevance, too. The week of our Light the Torch 5K Night Run in late September, we posted about Hillside Tot Lot, which runners passed by on the race route a few days later.
