Field of Honor Display at Memorial ParkFifty flags will be raised at sunrise and lowered at dusk daily to honor our military service personnel and veterans November 8-11 from 7A to 4:30P daily. Residents and community members are encouraged to drive by and pay tribute over the four-day Flags of Honor display, visible from all four streets that surround the park: Hale St. (east), Union Ave. (north), Wheaton Ave. (west), and Karlskoga Ave. (south).
Personalized Message from SantaReservation deadline is December 5 or when full. As usual, Santa will be making his annual stop at Cosley Zoo to check in on all the animals. While he is here, Santa would be happy to record a Christmas video message for your favorite someone with one of our ambassador animals.

The City of Wheaton and the Wheaton Park District present Light Up Wheaton and encourage the community to Brighten the Season Together. All are encouraged to “light up” their homes, businesses, nonprofits, churches, and other organizations. For those interested in a friendly community competition, enter your house in the first-ever FREE Light Up Wheaton Contest. Show the community your most creative, out of the box, and festive seasonal decorations and take part in Wheaton’s newest tradition.
Reserve Time on the IceThe ice skating season is officially open and skate reservations are filling up fast.
- Reservations are required for everyone.
- Residents skate free with a reserved timed-ticket and a Wheaton Park District universal ID.
- Online tickets can be reserved up to 7 days in advance.
Go Fly a Kite 2021May 1, 2021 | Graf Park
This year’s kite event will not only kick-off the Wheaton Park District's 100th Anniversary year-long celebration, it will look a little different. The first 100 families to arrive will receive a complimentary kite to fly that day or you are welcome to bring your own kite for flying. The kite flying team will be flying some fun kites for all to enjoy.
