The Central Athletic Complex is one of the park district’s biggest accomplishments in 2012 through a partnership with Bradford Real Estate. The district bought a portion of the former Hubble school property from Bradford for $3.25 million to preserve the gyms and fields it uses for athletics. Because the utilities that operate the gym came from the school building that was demolished, the district used a $2.4 million Park and Recreational Facility Construction (PARC) grant to complete improvements to the building.

Rec and Roll RoomWestern DuPage Special Recreation Association has added an additional site for their adult day program at Central Athletic Complex. This program emphasizes leisure independence, social interaction, community outings and service projects. Eligible participants are between ages 22-55, have intellectual disabilities, and can successfully participate in a 1 staff to 6 participant ratio. The program meets daily from 9A to 2P and participants can sign up to attend 1-5 days per week. This is one of six locations throughout DuPage.

Batting Cage Rentals:

Rental Fees:

  • Residents – $36 for 1 hour, $18 for 1/2 hour per cage.
  • Non-Residents – $54 for 1 hour, $27 for 1/2 hour per cage.
  • Commercial – $72 for 1 hour, $36 for 1/2 hour per cage.
  • Full Payment is due at the time of reservation.

  • Cages are available to rent year-round with full payment due at time of reservation.
  • Weekday reservations can be made in advance and day of through our online reservation system or by emailing Cody Nelson at [email protected]. Rental times available range from 4:00pm to 10:00pm.
  • Weekend reservations through our online reservation system must be made in advance due to varying building hours each weekend. If looking for a weekend reservation after online reservations have closed, please reach out to Cody Nelson at [email protected].
  • Cage rentals can be booked one month in advance.
  • Cages include the following:
  • Manual JUGS pitching machines (baseball and softball), baseballs, and softballs. Site supervisor can help set up rentals if needed.
    • JUGS pitching machines are manual feeding machines, meaning a parent/coach must insert each ball. Speeds on these machines can be adjusted from approximately 40mph to approximately 75 mph.

  • Cancellation requests must be made 24 hours or more in advance of the reservation to receive a full refund.
  • Cancellation requests less than 24 hours in advance of the reservation will result in no refund.
  • If your event is not held due to inclement weather, you will be offered a full refund or a rescheduling opportunity at no charge. (Inclement weather is determined by the Park District).
